- Toothache that keeps you awake or does not ease with painkillers
- Swelling of the face, gums or jaw
- A tooth that is broken, cracked or knocked out of place
- A lost filling, crown or bridge
- Mouth and tooth injuries after a fall, a blow or a sports accident
- Bleeding that does not stop after a tooth extraction
Call or message before you come
Before coming at night, please call 0538 584 77 47 or send a WhatsApp message to 0533 550 60 53. This lets us hear briefly about your situation and get ready to see you without delay.
At the examination, the cause of the pain or swelling is identified, and the priority is to bring the pain and any infection under control. If permanent treatment is needed, a plan for the next session is made together with your dentist. In emergency treatment, too, we work carefully with certified materials.
What can you do before you reach us?
These tips are general first-aid information and do not replace an examination:
- Knocked-out adult tooth: Hold the tooth by the crown, not the root. If it is dirty, rinse it briefly in milk or saline without rubbing, keep it in milk and come in without delay. Do not try to put a baby tooth back in.
- Swelling: Apply a cold compress to the outside of the cheek in 10–15 minute intervals; do not use a warm compress.
- Bleeding: Place a clean piece of gauze on the bleeding area and bite down on it for 15–20 minutes. While there is bleeding, avoid painkillers containing aspirin unless your doctor advises otherwise, but do not stop any medicines you take regularly on your own.
- Pain: Do not place aspirin on the painful tooth or gum; it can burn the tissue.
- Broken tooth, lost filling or crown: Keep the pieces and bring them with you, and do not chew on that side; do not glue the crown back with household adhesives.
If life is at risk, call 112 first
If you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling spreading quickly towards the eye or neck, a high fever, loss of consciousness or a serious injury to the face or head, call 112 without delay. These situations need to be assessed in hospital.
